EduCel is a PreK-12 curriculum-based professional learning (CBPL) organization that places an emphasis on leadership support, coaching, and the science of implementation. Our approach starts with partnering with district and school leaders. We focus on their strengths and the strengths within their systems to implement their curriculum and plans based on research. This ensures that they, their students, and the Educators who serve them, exCel.
EduCel services are job-embedded and delivered within multiple structures: coaching, consultations, collaboration, workshops, and/or within professional learning communities (PLCs).
Since research consistently informs us that instructional and leadership coaching can have a positive and significant impact on student outcomes, coaching is essential to our work. Additionally, we offer other job-embedded supports such as consultations and workshops regarding the selection and adoption of resources, as well as evidence-based leadership and instructional practices. We assist with the facilitation and collaboration of engaging and productive PLCs. We also offer team building services for school boards, district or school leadership teams, and/or your entire staff, using the True Colors methodology that can be included as part of a comprehensive service plan.
Due to EduCel's commitment to equitable instruction and educational excellence, we provide adoption services of high quality instructional materials (HQIM). These services include developing an HQIM adoption plan and executing a process with a structure, clarity, and alignment to a vision of academic excellence and instructional equity. EduCel is also program agnostic. Therefore, we facilitate the adoption process in an unbiased manner and in the best interest of the educators we serve.
"By investing in HQIM, districts can ensure that their students receive a rich, engaging education that not only meets academic standards but also prepares them to be informed, active participants in society. The long-term benefits of such an investment are clear: improved student achievement, enhanced critical thinking and civic skills, and a more equitable and effective education system overall." ~Chiefs of Change
Implementation Science indicates that the quality of implementation significantly impacts student outcomes. For example, studies show that higher fidelity to the implementation of HQIM, meaning closer adherence to the designed program, and implementing it with integrity, leads to better student results compared to ineffective implementation where the program is not delivered as intended. Essentially, a well-implemented program is more likely to produce positive student outcomes than one with subpar implementation. Therefore, EduCel works to ensure there is researched-based implementation of the trainings, adopted curriculum, and assessments that are implemented by our partners, which in turn helps students and Educators exCel!
We understand that each district/school's situation is unique to them. So, tell us about yours. We look forward to hearing from you and partnering with you. We want you and your students to exCel!
